What on earth are we talking about?

Not often we consider it, but feet are important for runners, as the research show, but also for squash players.  Although unlikely that well developed feet will cause a great improvement in performance, none the less we should be aware of strengthening them to avoid injury!

How are we going to do it?

Simply put the work we put into our off court work and pre-hab sessions.  Jump rope, wobble boards, single leg hopping and jumping are all examples of the simplest things we do.  For the more advanced work we use bands and dexterity based activities where the athlete picks up and puts down objects with their feet.  Long story short, we’re aware that “it’s a thing”!

Do we need to lose sleep over it.

Nope, but it is interesting and somewhat overlooked by many!  🙂
