Everyone loves a banana, but should they?

What’s the upside ?

The average banana contains 100 calories and is a good sources of potassium and vitamin B6 in addition to antioxidants.  They have a similar effect to a 6% CHO sports drink and will act to refuel.  More ideal for post match, especially getting ready for a second effort that day!

Recommendations

Avoid bananas that are too green around training and competition.  Look for a slightly speckled banana, around 21 days old and go for it!
